Objective: To develop basic understanding of and confidence to teach music.
Content: In this course you will learn about some of the challenges of teaching music as a non-specialist, as well as focusing in-depth on developing your own musical knowlege and understanding. In particular you will learn about the interrelated dimensions of music and how to teach these to your pupils.
Structure: The course is structured into six sections. Each section contains a mixture of online reading & research, video and audio materials, and interactive quizzes. The course is designed to be completed at your own pace, and if you wish to you have the option of submitting a short assignment in order to receive a completion certificate.
