“This course is a great introduction to improvisation in the primary classroom and is suitable for complete beginners. It explains the differences between structured and free improvisation and the benefits of both for children in their musical learning. There are suggestions for fun activities to try out in the classroom and a useful guide to the different levels of development in improvisation which teachers can use to assess how their pupils are progressing. The platform is easy to navigate. The course offers a solid starting point for improvisation in primary music lessons and certainly gave me confidence to try out some of the ideas.”
“This is a well-structured and compiled course. Each section has a clear focus and leads smoothly on to the following section and the sample tracks are well chosen. The activity suggestions sound fun and easy to put into practice. I feel like I have a slightly better grasp of this area now and will therefore be more confident when improvising with my groups.”
