Dan Francis
Associate Consultant: Secondary & Qualifications
Dan studied Music at the University of Nottingham, before completing a PGCE in secondary Music at the University of Leeds. Following spells as a classroom teacher, Head of Department and Head of Faculty, he became Assistant Headteacher at Twyford CE High School, leading a large team of classroom, instrumental and support teachers and developing a fully-integrated curriculum, as part of the development of Twyford Academies Trust, now comprising four schools.
Dan then took up the role of Head of Music Services at Buckinghamshire Music Trust, leading a large team during a period of significant change. In 2018, Dan joined the senior leadership team at RSL Awards (Rockschool), collaborating with all departments to affect change both in the UK and globally. Dan is now a consultant, specialising in Strategic Development and, in his spare time, is a Trumpet and Keys Player, Musical Director and on the Board of Trustees for The National Youth Jazz Collective, an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation.
