Mentoring helps music teachers build confidence, refine skills, and discover fresh approaches that engage students and elevate teaching, helping teachers unlock their full potential in the classroom.
Music Education Solutions offers bespoke mentoring services from Open University certified music education mentors, delivered via Zoom or in person.
Our approach is bespoke, and therefore differs according to each individual’s requirements. We will work with you to create a plan that suits your own needs and context. Adopting the Reflective Model of Mentoring, teachers are helped to identify their own areas for development during an initial one-to-one session. Following the initial session, mentees are then offered a programme of follow-up support to help them address their development aims.
Support might include:- 1-2-1 coaching or mentoring sessions with a certified mentor
- Creation of a structured action plan to work through independently
- Demonstration lessons delivered by an expert music teacher
- Team teaching alongside one of our expert teachers
- Visits to our network of schools to observe other music teachers
