Mentors Required from September 2015 for CPD Centre West Midlands (Level 4 Certificate for Music Educators)
CPD Centre West Midlands is a partnership project between Music Education Solutions Ltd and Target Education Alliance, based at Hillcrest School, Dudley. Part of our work involves delivering the Trinity CME (Level 4 Certificate for Music Educators), and we are currently seeking a small number of exceptional people to join our mentoring team.
Learners for the CME are being accepted from throughout the UK and allocated to mentors geographically, so we are looking for candidates from all areas of the UK. The work will involve supporting learners to identify and evidence their professional development needs and goals, through face-to-face mentoring sessions, classroom observation and email & telephone support.
Prospective mentors must be music specialists (primary, secondary or instrumental) with QTS (or extensive teaching experience) and experience of carrying out classroom observation and feedback. Experience of mentoring for similar qualifications is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. Work will be offered on a casual, self-employed basis, or for full-time teachers via a consultancy arrangement with their school.
Flat rate per learner inc. travel expenses: £300
If interested, please send a copy of your CV and a covering statement explaining your interest in the post and indicating the amount of time you would have available for this work, to email@example.com. Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview/training day in the West Midlands on 15th July 2015 from 10am-4pm. Please do not apply unless you are available on this date.
